Coralie Maneri, italian and swiss dual citizenship, was born in the northern part of italy in 1980. Pushed by her passion for the visual arts, in 1999 she subscribes at the Fine Arts Academy of Bologna. In 2000 she moves to Spain where she continues her studies spending two years at the Academy of Fine Arts of Madrid. Back to Italy, she graduates in painting in Bologna in 2003. Following to a stay of two years in the neighbourhood of Urbino, where she has the opportunity to practice traditional ceramics and western Raku art, she obtains qualification of ceramics technician. In 2008 she returns to her homeland where she keeps following her research path using art as a therapeutic tool and specializes in Art Therapy at the Fine Arts Academy of Brera in Milan, where she starts practicing art in the field of social and mental diseases. She works in the ateliers of the Museum of Lugano (cantonale), the Art museum of Lugano and in the contemporary art museum of Gallarate, MAGA.

She's actually engaged with humanitarian projects, especially in Ethiopia, dealing with water problem resources, education and sanitary projects. She currently lives and work in Bologna as freelance photographer.

Coralie Maneri

Coralie Maneri, nata a Varese nel 1980 e di nazionalità italo-svizzera, ottiene nel 2003 una laurea in pittura presso l'accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna a seguito di due anni di studio presso l'accademia di Belle Arti di Madrid (UCM). Si specializza nel 2008 in Terapeutica artistica presso l'accademia di Brera a Milano. Collabora a progetti in carcere, centri di disagi mentali, case famiglia e scuole nell'ambito dell'arte terapia. Nel 2009 lavora come atelierista nei laboratori didattici creativi per l'infanzia presso il Museo cantonale di Lugano, il Museo d'Arte Lugano e presso il Museo d'Arte Contemporanea di Gallarate MAGA.

Dal 2007 ad oggi si dedica sopratutto a progetti sociali del terzo mondo come fotografa, in particolare modo per documentare la realizzazione di pozzi d'acqua e scuole nei villaggi rurali dell'Etiopia tramite la Fondazione Butterfly onlus. Vive oggi a Bologna e lavora come fotografa freelance.
